On-Premise Solutions provides a
great service to Blue Ridge
Electric by providing a
computer-generated list of
employees for random drug and
breath alcohol testing. They are
willing to travel to each of our
four districts to provide the
necessary testing and all of
this can be accomplished in one
work day. On-Premise Solutions
is very efficient and very
professional and they stay
current on all Federal and State
regulations and offer training
to industries who must comply
with the regulations.
On-Premise Solutions provides
another great service by
traveling to each of our four
districts and providing CDL
physicals which are required
every two years for each CDL
driver of a Commercial Motor
Vehicle.
I would highly recommend their
services to any company that
must comply with the Federal
Motor Carrier Regulations.

May Concern:
I was in a bind looking for a
certified trainer in order to
become a Certified Professional
Collector for my new business. I
contacted On-Premise Solutions
and Brenda Tomlinson, who had
just had surgery, was more than
willing to help me out of this
terrible situation. Brenda was
more than happy to conduct a
one-on-one training and not to
mention it was New Years Eve!
Brenda, with her leg in a cast
and on crutches, managed to
maintain her holiday spirit and
got right down to the basics in
training me. At that point,
Brenda no longer became just a
trainer but a friend in the
business. She went beyond that
extra mile to help me get the
training I needed. She made sure
I understood the DOT laws not
just from an educational
standpoint but by a
justification standpoint. She
ensured that I understood the
steps I was doing in the "mock
training" were justified as to
why they were being done. Brenda
makes it a point to keep in
touch with me to make sure I am
not having any problems. She
maintains an open door policy
and leaves that door open for
you to call her if you have a
problem or question.
Brenda is the type of trainer I
will refer to all new entrants
into the business because she
cares about the profession and
the people she trains.

to have an update on the DOT
rules and regulations, and

training. While it’s time

latest in collection procedures,
donor adulteration techniques,
and governmental regulations,
Brenda presented the information
in layman’s terms in a relaxed
atmosphere. Her knowledge is
phenomenal, and I will continue

Selection Committee
Dear DATIA Selection Committee,
Brenda Tomlinson had the
pleasure of presenting at the
2008 Fall SCSAOHN Conference in
regards to Drug & Alcohol
Testing. The subject matter was
geared toward Occupational
Health Nursing in respect to the
most accurate methods of
testing, how to develop
protocols, signs to look for
when testing an employee if they
might be trying to “cheat”, the
different tactics that those
being tested will attempt to try
and get out of testing, the
different types of containers
(vessels) that can be disguised
and used on a manufacturing
floor or any setting to try and
deceive, and most of all the
importance of performing the
testing properly and
accurately.
The audience consisted of
approximately 30 to 50
Occupational Health Nurses (RN)
nurses. The knowledge and
experience base of the group
ranged from 1 year to 20 years
in Occupational Health and
Alcohol & Drug Testing.
Brenda was on top of her
presentation, answered questions
with authority and ownership of
her knowledge and experience,
and captivated the audience for
more than 90 minutes. However,
she was at the end of the
session, and the questions were
coming, the group asked her to
stay past the allotted 60 minute
presentation agenda planned.
Brenda graciously stayed and was
very enthusiastic about wanting
to make sure that all questions
were answered.
I have personally spoken with
Brenda regarding our policy and
procedure for drug testing at
the facility I work at due to
her professionalism and
effectiveness of her
presentation. It would be
beneficial to your organization
to choose her to write and work
with the curriculum for your
association. Please feel free
to contact me personally with
any questions.
